Acoustic duo to bring traditional Irish music to eight U.S. venues 2024

The Porter House pub in Westport hosts some of Mayo’s finest music talents and has the awards to prove it. Among those artists that keep Westport as one of the most vibrant musical scenes in Ireland are Joe Forde and Eric Heneghan, who have been sponsored by Jim Friel, a Chicago consultant and owner of Fitz’s Pub in Elmhurst, Ill., to visit and play a two-week tour of Chicago, New York and Boston starting Oct. 17, 2024.
Joe and Eric have entertained hundreds, if not thousands, of U.S. visitors in The Porter House and along the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland. They have also teamed up with Corduff Travel who provides an authentic, traditional Irish tour experience of the sites while enjoying music and songs in the comfort of West Mayo Hostelries along the famous coastal route. After many requests to bring their act to the U.S., the duo is making their debut across the pond with the help of their U.S. sponsorship.
